15. Less Distance, Better Control

Image
Intentionally Make It Harder to Fly, Making It Easier to Control This method uses casting ability to catch fish. What is different from other types of fishing? Unlike other types of fishing, where fishing begins after dropping the lure where want it to fall, fishing begins even before the lure falls, that is, when control the trajectory of the lure. Here I will introduce tuning methods that I think will make it easier to create a lure trajectory that stimulates the predatory instincts of fish. Also, I'm a stickler for throwing lures with one hand, and most of this blog post is written with the assumption that be throwing with one hand. In addition,  since each person has different muscle strength and the fishing tackles they use, I am not sure whether you will be able to get the same results.  1. Baitcasting Reel with Poor Spool Rotation Even if the spool shaft is distorted, the rotation of the spool will be poor, but that is not the case in this case, and by using a spool bearing

14. When Fish are Present in a Little Deep

Image
I will write about the difference between bass that are just below the water's surface and bass that are in a little deep water. Example of the Reaction of Bass in a Little Deep Water For example, suppose a bass at a depth of 80 cm is facing 6 o'clock. 1. Throw the voluminous lure with an ultra-low trajectory so that it passes from directly in front of the bass to behind it. 2. When the trajectory of the lure passes over the bass head, the bass body twitches. 3. The bass body moves and at the same time, it rises a little. 4. Repeat step 1 and the bass will float just below the water surface. 5. By the time the bass rises to just below the water surface, their activity has already increased, so as long as don't miss a cast, the bass will bite. This is an example of when succeeded in getting the fish to bite, but the bass activity was not very high.  If the bass are highly active in this situation, they may suddenly rise to just below the water surface and bite the lure with

13. Rapid Deceleration Just Above a School of Fish

Image
If you find a school of bass just below the surface, put down your spinning tackle and try this method immediately. You will see very interesting reactions from the bass. For example, I know of a clearwater field where bluegills fry congregate near the shore for short periods in the fall, and schools of migrating bass can be seen preying on them. Here, I would like to explain how schools of bass migrating just below the water's surface will react to this method, assuming such a situation. Schools migrate close to the shore, so will be fishing from the shore while following the school. Also, assume that the direction of movement of the herd is 3 o'clock. 1 . Throw the voluminous spinnerbait with a low trajectory and pass directly above the school while rapidly decelerating. 2 . In a school, bass whose predatory instincts have been stimulated and bass whose predatory instincts have not been stimulated collide with each other. 3 . There's chaos in the school. 4 . After landing

12. There is Fishing that Can Enjoy Without Catching Fish

Image
Would You Like to See a Picture of the Bass I Caught? Some of you may have already noticed, but this blog does not include any  pictures  of the bass I caught.  It's not because this method doesn't catch fish.  Rather, if there are largemouth bass in the  shallow water  when sight fishing in clear water, I think it's a pretty strong method.   There are two reasons I don't post pictures of bass on this blog. The first reason is that I have written a specific method on this blog that is reproducible, and if you follow it, you will catch bass. So I do not have to post a picture of the bass I caught, nor do I have to post a picture of me holding up a bass. The second reason is related to the title of this article, but when I use this method, I often bend the hook inward to prevent the lure from getting caught in the  bass'  mouth.  That's why I don't catch many fish. Don't Have to Hook Up to Fish to Enjoy this Fishing Method Of course, I understand that the

11. How does a Lure Flying in the Air Look to a Fish?

Image
Originally, for these, I had to actually throw the lure and take a video of the flying lure with a camera installed underwater. So, I'm not sure how helpful this still image of just hanging it on a tree on land will be for you, but I hope it gives you a vague idea of what it looks like. Once again, these pictures were not taken from underwater, and I don't think they are necessarily the same as what the fish see. Front light, backlight, background color, lure color, lure size, sunlight intensity and brightness, sun angle, water clarity, presence of waves, height of the lure flying in the air, depth of water, the direction the lure flies, etc. If you can combine these elements and take pictures of flying lure from underwater, I think your understanding of this method will deepen even further.

10. The Direction the Bass is Facing

Image
Which Direction is the Bass Facing? This method allows to catch bass efficiently by accurately approaching while watching the bass in clear water. And especially smart bass change the ease of fishing depending on which direction they are facing. Here I will discuss the case of a smart bass just below the surface of the water, facing 6 o'clock, 12 o'clock, and 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock. If the Bass is Facing 6 o'clock Facing the bass at a short distance. Throw the lure over the head of the bass with a low trajectory and send the lure behind the bass while decelerating rapidly. At this time, the fish's body reacts with a jerk. Quietly land the lure on the water and retrieve the lure so that it passes overhead or next to the eye from behind the bass. The bass bite the moment the lure passes. This is the process when I successfully catch a bass, but at step 2, the bass may be surprised by the trajectory of the lure and run away. For example, if a ball suddenly flies at

9. Voluminous Buzzbait

Image
Catch Smart-Bass with Voluminous Buzzbait Buzzbaits can also be used with this method by increasing the  amount  of skirts to improve visibility while flying. The single prop buzzbait on the left side of the picture may have an unstable posture when swimming if the amount of skirts is increased. In this case, as with a voluminous spinnerbait, gathering and tying the skirt to the hook point side will help stabilize the buzzbait's posture as it swims. But when I try to catch smart bass with a buzzbait, I use the double prop buzzbait on the right side of the picture. How to Catch Smart Bass in Clear Water with Buzzbait? It is not easy to catch smart bass in clear water sight fishing with buzzbait. The first step is to properly, stimulate a bass' predatory instincts, and quietly land on the surface. The process up to this point is same as when using a   voluminous single Colorado spinnerbait , but smart bass that has been caught by anglers many times will recognize buzzbait by the

8. Easy to Catch Fish are Easy to Catch

Image
In this Method, the Response Varies Greatly Depending on Whether the Bass is Active or Low, and Whether they are Smart I will explain the difference between easy-to-catch bass and hard-to-catch bass with examples. (Assuming clear water, Appropriate water temperature, fine weather, no wind, calm water surface, and The bass is directly below the water surface and facing 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock) 1. Highly Active, Easy-to-Catch Bass (Easy Bass) For example, in the case of a highly active bass that has never been caught by an angler, even if the trajectory of the voluminous lure is a little high, the predatory instinct will be stimulated, and the bass will swim vigorously to the landing point and eat the lure the moment it hits the water. In this case, for such a bass, it is enough to make look as if a dragonfly is flying, so there are many types of lures that can be used. Chatterbaits, swim jigs, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, rubber jigs, etc, with increased skirt volume. Or a lure that gives a

7. The Process of Catching a Bass

Image
The process of catching bass when using "voluminous single Colorado spinnerbait" and some of the elements that stimulate the predatory instincts of bass will be explained. A Series of Steps from Casting the Lure to Getting the Bass to Bite the Lure (Suppose a bass is just below the surface of clear water, facing toward 3 o'clock) Cast the lure with a low trajectory so that it crosses the bass' line of sight. Just before the lure flies in a low trajectory and enters the bass's line of sight, use a thumb braking to rapidly decelerate the lure. Land the lure quietly on the surface at a point that is neither too close nor too far from the bass. After the lure lands on the water, retrieve it promptly and gargling in front of the bass. Adjust retrieve speed according to bass activity to get them to bite. Next, I will explain the elements that stimulate the predatory instinct of bass and their details in the order of the steps above. Several Elements that Stimulate the P

6. How to Make a Voluminous Spinnerbait

Image
Voluminous Single Colorado Spinnerbait The number of skirts of the spinnerbaits in the picture is 460, 360, 260, 220, and 160 from the left. Weight from left to right: 36g, 32g, 21.1g, 19.3g, and 22g.  This does not mean that these are finished products that are easy for everyone to cast.  I'm still trying to do it myself. The ease of casting varies from person to person, so please use it as a reference only. Try different amounts of skirts to suit your tackle and casting skills to find one that you feel comfortable with. I think it's a good idea to start by making a few at random and comparing the ease of casting.  Points to Note when doing this Tuning Most spinnerbaits on the market stabilize their posture immediately after landing on the water, but lures with many skirts may not stabilize their posture. The following is a countermeasure. Add a Sinker By adding a split shot sinker to the hook shank to increase the weight, the lure's posture can be stabilized more quickly.
