Catch Smart-Bass with Voluminous Buzzbait

Voluminous Buzzbaits

Buzzbaits can also be used with this method by increasing the
amount of skirts to improve visibility while flying. The single prop buzzbait on the left side of the picture may have an unstable posture when swimming if the amount of skirts is increased. In this case, as with a voluminous spinnerbait, gathering and tying the skirt to the hook point side will help stabilize the buzzbait's posture as it swims.
But when I try to catch smart bass with a buzzbait, I use the double prop buzzbait on the right side of the picture.

How to Catch Smart Bass in Clear Water with Buzzbait?

It is not easy to catch smart bass in clear water sight fishing with buzzbait.
The first step is to properly, stimulate a bass' predatory instincts, and quietly land on the surface. The process up to this point is same as when using a voluminous single Colorado spinnerbait, but smart bass that has been caught by anglers many times will recognize buzzbait by the prop sound and its bubbles when a buzzbait swims by and will not bite.

Therefore, buzzbait are more difficult to catch bass than voluminous single Colorado spinnerbait. So, to catch such smart bass with buzzbait, need to retrieve them slowly to avoid prop noise and bubbles. However, in the case of a single prop buzzbait, if retrieved slowly without making any noise or bubbles, the rotation of the prop will look artificial, not the movement of a creature, and bass will recognize it as a lure. As a result, the bass will not bite.

Therefore, to increase the bite rate of fish, I use a painted double prop buzzbait.
I think it is better to have the same color as a skirt and prop.
Chartreuse imagines like a yellow butterfly, white as a white butterfly, and black as a dragonfly with black wings. The upper and lower painted prop slowly rotate in opposite directions, trying to reproduce the movement of a flapping butterfly or the movement of dragonfly wings. In short, slow retrieval eliminates prop sounds and bubbles while also reproducing the movement of the wings of an insect, making it difficult for a bass to recognize that it is a buzzbait.

However, by retrieving this buzzbait slowly, the noise and bubbles caused by the prop can be suppressed, but the entire skirt may swing unnaturally due to the rotation of the prop. So, in that respect, a smaller Colorado blade that doesn't shake the skirt too much is better. So when I really want to catch fish, I use a voluminous single Colorado spinnerbait. Daring to use a buzzbait, which is hard to catch, is nothing but "self-satisfaction when I catch a fish.

I believe that perfecting the course, trajectory, landing, and retrieve, can increase the probability of getting smart fish to bite. If I can't catch fish at all with this buzzbait, I won't use it, but if take my technique and settings to a higher level, can still catch fish, and that is the appeal of using this buzzbait.

The important thing when using this buzzbait with this method is to retrieve it slowly. However, depending on the prop settings, the prop may not rotate properly when performing a slow retrieve.

Here are some ways to deal with it.

1.
Fix the Bead Between the Upper and Lower Prop.
This is to prevent the pressure of the upper prop from being applied to the lower prop.

Fix the beads

2.
Spread an Upper Wire Outward.
It often rotates smoothly.

3.
Remove Burrs from Beads.

Additionally, if the wire is too thick for the prop hole, it may hinder rotation. If you want to increase your chances of catching fish using this buzzbait, try to make the rotation of the prop smoother.
